I have been talking since the end of my 9th month. Prior to that I babbled (and still do!), but Mom and Dad weren't sure if my babbles had meaning. I was saying mama for a couple of weeks followed by dada, but Mom and Dad didn't know for certain that I was saying it intentionally. I was! To prove it, one day Mom and I stopped at Caribou Coffee. Mom didn't know Dad was there too. I saw him and started saying "da da da da da da." Mom thought I was just babbling until she looked in the direction I was looking and realized I was telling her Daddy was there!
I have expanded my vocabulary a little bit. Now I can say "ba" for ball. "Dau" for dog. "Uh-oh." "Baa" for cup - Mom still can't figure out why baa means cup the only thing she can figure is maybe I learned it from bottle?? Step tracker: for those of you keeping track, I am up to 15 consecutive steps now!
