Tonight is Mommy and Daddy's anniversary. They celebrated at luau. Make sure you watch the video of the cool fire dancer at the end of the photos!

Perfect weather and location for the luau! The canoe is bringing the "warrior princess" to the feast.

Great food and drinks!

Hula dancers were dressed in traditional clothing from islands around the Pacific.

The chef made a special anniversary desert plate for Mom and Dad, but they forgot to take a photo until some of it was already eaten!

Mom and Dad went on a day trip dubbed "The Road to Hana." Hana is a small town with nothing special to see. People take the road because of all the sites along the way. The road is a very narrow, winding road that travels the coastline. It's pretty slow going. The whole trip took Mom and Dad 10 hours and they didn't do half of the stops along the way.

There are all sorts of hidden waterfalls, pools and beaches you can stop and hike in to.

This is one of the only waterfalls/pools that Mom could actually make the hike to. Most of them were a little too steep or slippery for a pregnant person!

Dad hiked in to see a red sand beach. It was way to steep a ledge for Mom so she sat it out. If you enlarge the photo you can see 2 people on the right side of the photo. It kind of gives you an idea of what the path was like.

This is the view from the balcony where Mom and Dad stayed in Hawaii. The hotel they stay at may not be the biggest or the fanciest, but it market's itself as the most "Hawaiian." And it really is, plus it's a great location.

Mom and Dad took me for a walk tonight after dinner. I was totally tired by the end (see photo below!), but in their infinite wisdom they decided to stop for an ice cream treat....

No Mom! I DO NOT WANT ICE CREAM!

Well, I guess that's not so bad.

Okay, I'll have one more bite. Only if you insist.

Thanks for the wonderful Loch Ness monster hooded towel Grandma Bev and Grandpa Kenny! It is so nice and handy on beach days! (PS - Yes, that is a cup of pickles on the table. It's actually marketed as a "pickle pack" and is one of my new favorite snacks!)
