We went on vacation this week. The first part of the week we stayed at our cabin then we went up north to a cabin about an hour past Duluth.
It was beautiful there!

There were lots of trees and a mostly dry river.

Unfortunately, as you can see from Mom's scowl in the photo below, there was a dead mouse inside the wall just to the left of the light switch. It didn't smell very good when the cabin heated up.
(Mom is also scowling because the book she is reading is pretty terrible, but she feels obligated to read it since she started it - she's been working on that darn book for well over a month now!)
Another problem, as you can see, is that there were huge windows in the cabin. I couldn't find a dark place to sleep, so I skipped my naps and couldn't fall asleep at bedtime. We had to come home early from vacation just because I couldn't sleep in the cabin.

But the time we were there was lovely. I saw a humming bird outside the huge windows.

We went for gorgeous walks.

I banged rocks together.

And I played in the grass next to the river.
